2026 WSA National Convention Scholarship Application

Application Period: January 20 - April 30, 2026.

Scholarship funds are available for the 2026 Williams Syndrome Association National Convention, being held July 7-11, 2026 in Buffalo, NY.

The award will cover convention registration for an individual with WS and a plus one, as well as 5-night hotel accommodation.

In order to apply for 2026 convention funding, you must:

  • Experience Williams syndrome or be the caregiver for someone with WS
  • Be a Canadian citizen
  • Have financial need*
  • If there are more applicants than available funds, preference will be given to first time attendees.

Application submission deadline for all applications is April 30, 2026. Scholarships will be announced and awarded by May 15, 2026.

*For purposes of these scholarships, financial need means being under 200% of the 2026 Low-income cut-offs (LICOs). For example, if you are a family of 4 from an area of >500K population, household income below $95,658 after tax would qualify. If your family meets this criteria, please feel free to apply! Documentation of financial need is not required for application submission but may be requested during the CAWS annual audit.

If this is for a younger individual, please describe in your words why you would like your individual to participate in the convention and programming you have chosen. If your individual is a tween, teen, or adult, please have them describe why they would like to go to convention. Video submissions are preferred, but written submissions are also accepted.
